Welcome, to what I call my hobby page. My name is John B. and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. At 49 years of age, I am just beginning to learn about and
appreciate the various interests that I have. Self discovery is a wonderful thing! It would give me great pleasure to share some of my experiences with you.
This is still a concept page, but as stuff happens, I plan to add to it. In the meantime, three years ago I built a small skiff in my backyard and took
lots of pictures, all yours to enjoy at your leisure. Please see the link to the left.
A year later, I took that boat out to Prince William Sound, Alaska, and had the time of my life! I even made a film of some of the neat stuff I did out there.
The film is currently being sold through a website called
Duckworks,
the same company that sold me the plans to make my boat, Intrepid. This is a 91 minute film on a DVD showing: Alaska, Alaskan wildlife, boat camping, cooking,
etc. You have heard about how some books are a "good read?" Well, this amateur film is said to be a "good watch!" And it wasn't just my Mother that said that.
This trailer is set to music and is a preview of the film. I plan to post other films of my adventures for people who love Alaska, but just can't get up
here right now.
